Rainbow Stroke Distance Awards
The Rainbow Stroke Distance Awards have been designed to complement the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (2007 edition) by developing and encouraging better techniques and stroke standards. It is vital that swimmers develop good technique as early as possible and these Awards can be used to reward and encourage the development of good stroke techniques.
These stroke awards have been graded to encourage young children to reach for their next goal. The Awards offer achievable steps which help to develop techniques and skills as well as ensuring young swimmers also have fun.
You may wish to consider achieving the Swimming Stroke Awards upon successful completion of the Rainbow Stroke Distance Awards.
